Kvadrat at home

When it comes to design I’m all about simple lines, straight edges and clean shapes. I value the ease of use as well as the friendliness toward the user. Kvadrat got in touch for the Ready Made Curtains designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec – you can imagine I couldn’t resist.  If you don’t know the brand, let me put it into simple words for you: they’re the absolute textile gurus. They are characterized by impeccabile materials, innovation and functionality.

For my dining area, I have never had curtains before because of the ceiling height – it’s a beauty but also a pain to deal with – we’re looking at over 3.30m height. You can start picturing me climbing several ladders drill in hand. The idea behind these Ready Made Curtains is to have adjustable curtains in a kit with very minimal components, effortlessly easy to install.

Each kit contains two wooden wall fixings, pegs, a hanging cord, and an opaque or translucent curtain textile. There’s an easy configurator online through which you can see all the available colors and textile options. I went for grey hanging mechanism and pegs with Haze fabric # 114
